Mangaluru: Police arrested two men for illegally transporting cattle for slaughter on Monday at Kulthoor in Belthangady taluk. 

The arrested accused are Jinu Thomas (34) and Ranjith (31).

The police have recovered a male calf and a jeep used for illegal transportation. 

A case under various sections of the Karnataka Prevention of Slaughter and Preservation of Cattle Act, 2020, has been booked against the accused.
