Bhatkal: A bike rider lost his life and the pillion rider was injured after a car rammed into their bike at Sagar road in Bhatkal on Monday at 5:30pm

The deceased has been identified as Hisamuddin Shareef (30) of Nawayath colony, Usmania street. His friend Mohammed Qutub (20) sustained injuries in the accident and has been admitted to a private hospital in Kundapur for treatment.

According to reports, six friends on three bikes had gone to Sagar Road to escape the heat on Monday evening. While returning, a tourist car from Kundapur collided with one of their bikes, causing serious injuries to the two riders. Both were immediately taken to a nearby government hospital, from where one was sent to Kundapur and the other to Udupi for further treatment. Unfortunately, Hisamuddin passed away before reaching the Udupi hospital.

The necessary paperwork is currently being processed to bring Hisamuddin's body from the Udupi Hospital to Bhatkal. Meanwhile, Mohammad Qutub is undergoing treatment for his injured legs in Kundapur.
